The Art of Advent: Dec 3

Today is the third day of advent and we’re bringing you another recommendation! The wonderful Dr. Shona Kallestrup from our very own School of Art History is a speaker at a very special event happening THIS EVENING! The Association for Art History’s Annual Public Lecture|Re-writing Women into Art History is taking place tonight at 7pm. Hosted by the fantastic Sandi Toksvig, the event aims to  ‘take a fresh look at women as collectors, patrons, exhibition organisers and museum founders in Europe in the late 19th and early 20th centuries’. Shona, along with Meaghan Clarke, Senior Lecturer in Art History at the University of Sussex and Elizabeth Emery, Professor of French in the Dept of World Languages and Cultures at Montclair State University will be discussing the amazing achievements of women in the art world, including some that you may not be familiar with so make sure you grab yourself a FREE ticket to this fabulous event. We hope to see lots of you there - virtually of course!
